Friday Face Off: 60s Horror

Friday Face Off is a weekly meme created by Books by Proxy, and run by Lynn’s Book Blog. You can check out all my past Friday Face Offs here.

“Feed me Seymour.”

This weeks theme:  A cover that is 60s horror.

My Choice:  The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

I don’t exactly know what 60s horror is? So I am going to give it my best shot!

Covers:

Lets start with the covers that were actually released in the 60S:

Airmont Publishing 1964 | Bantam Books 1967 | Minster 1968 | Aerie Books 1968

There are over 3.5K editions of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde so I randomly picked some that I think look like “60s Horror”

Troll Communications 1993 | Art & Culture Publishing | Anaya 1981 | New English Library 1975

Aerie Books | Dover Publications 1991 | Wisehouse Classic 2015 | Folio 2003

ATOZ Classics  2018| Acclaim Books  1997| Evans Brothers 2001 | Top Five Books 2014

İthaki Publications 2019 | Collins Crime Club 2015 | Createspace Independent  2017 | Oldcastle Books 2015

This one is probably the least 60s horror esque of the bunch, but I really like the way it shows that both are the same person!

Which is your favorite? Do you agree with my choice? Let me know in the comments!!
