The Netflix Book Tag was originally created as a YouTube tag by Whitney @ A Darker Shade of Whitney and then it was converted to a blog tag by Heather @ The Frozen Book Blog. I was tagged by Zoe @ Zoe’s Library. I don’t watch a lot of book YouTube so I can’t speak about Whitney’s blog, but Zoe and Heather have great blogs and you should go check them out!!!!

Ah, but have you tried the new ‘It’ Frappuccino from Starbucks? It is essentially Vanilla bean frappuccino with strawberry purée on top. I will be getting one soon in honour of It Chapter Two

Fun tag! And I’ll admit, I’m very glad it doesn’t have auto-play clips on it the way the Netflix app does. That bugs me so much! LOL, auto-play is my nemesis. 😀

Thanks! And I HATE the auto play on Netflix!!! It always seems to auto play on something scary haha

Right? Sometimes I feel like we don’t watch stuff we normally would because we’re flipping too fast through the options to try to beat the auto-play.

I really loved The Handmaid’s Tale but I also totally get not being interested in it. I will say though, Atwood’s books are a lot easier to read than I thought they’d be lol. 😀

Really? I always kind of thought they would be like Phillipa Gregory’s books. They are good but they are hard to read!

Maybe it differs on what people find hard to read. For me I find Dickens and Tolkien hard to get through, but Jane Austen is fine (even though much of her language is close to Dickens). I didn’t have an issue with the one Phillipa Gregory book I read either. I’d say if you ever try Atwood and you can do audiobooks, try it in audio (that usually helps me with things I find ‘tough’ to read. Her prose and use of language is pretty ‘down to earth’ so it was an easier read in that respect. I think she’s literary more for her themes than her style, if that makes sense. 🙂

That makes total sense!! And I appreciate the audiobook recommendation 😀 Even with Austen, I loved Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility but for some reason I could not get through Emma. I tried it 3 or 4 times and just never finished it. I eventually tried the audiobook and it helped a lot and I finally finished it haha

You won’t read IT or The Handmaid’s Tale???? Come on!!!! 🙂

I know! haha I won’t read IT because I don’t do horror at all! And I feel like the Handmaid’s Tale is just to 1984 ish and I didn’t like 1984

I get it. There are certain genres I won’t read either. I am watching the Handmaid’s Tale. If the book is anything like the series it might be a good read.
