Friday Face Off is a weekly meme created by Books by Proxy, and run by Lynn’s Book Blog.
I know I am late again! This weekend was Denver Pop Culture Con, so I was super busy!

This weeks theme: A favorite fantasy cover.
My Choice: The Way of Shadows
This might not be my favorite fantasy cover ever. Nothing came to mind right away and I have way to much stuff to catch up on to spend a lot of time deciding on an actual favorite.
Covers:
Orbit 2008 | Plaza & Janés 2010 | Orbi 2011| Artemis Yayınlar 2013
Paladin 2017 | Newton Compton 2017 | Bragelonne 2009 | Ufuk Publishing 2011
Exmo 2010 | Editora Arqueiro 2016 | The Unknown Kantath 2015 | Yulin Culture 2010

I love the one that you picked! Great choice! I have the ugly paperback trilogy version of this book. I’d definitely prefer to have one with a gorgeous cover like that.

The more purple in the cover the more I’ll love it. Lol.
way to much stuff to catch up on to spend a lot of time deciding on an actual favorite…. I feel that way every time I get a question about book faves! Unless the answer can be P and P or Harry 😂

Haha, I follow the exact same logic! In fact, I loved the purple cover of Sanderson’s Skyward so much that I bought a signed copy of it.

Some very different cover looks for this one. I like your pick or the one to the left of it!

lol… I’m glad I’m not the only one who ends up posting Friday Faceoff on a Monday – but what a good excuse! I hope you loved the Con, Brittany:). As for my favourite cover – it’s the Orbit 2008 – I’m interested to note that by 2011, Weeks is successful enough that they see fit to disfigure the lovely artwork by ripping a great bit ugly textbox across the lower third of the cover to feature his name…

Oooh, great book! I like your choice, as I’ve always felt this novel deserved more than just another generic “fantasy hooded man” on a white background cover (which is the edition I own)!

Hey we picked the same favorite! (I picked it before I saw it was your favorite.) It looks like a Richard Anderson cover😊

Great choice and some good covers. I like the Orbit 2008 but on balance think your choice wins the day.

I love foreign language covers!! There is something so neat about non-Americans interpreting a story their own way through covers. My favorite was the Brent Weeks with the black swash behind his name. But the one you chose was a neat foreign one!! ❤️
