Friday Face-Off

Friday Face Off: Scary

This is a weekly meme created by Books by Proxy, but currently run by Lynn’s Book Blog.

“There is no terror in the bang, only in the anticipation of it.”

This weeks theme:  A scary cover

My Choice: Brave New World

I know these covers are more creepy than scary, but I didn’t know what other book to pick.

Harper Perennial 1998 | Flamingo 1994 | Kindle 2017 | Maťa 2004

Izvori 1998 | Bert Bakker 1982 | Editores Mexicanos Unidos 1985 | Harper Collins 2014

Livros do Brasil 2000 | August Cesarec 1985 | Muntinga 2000 | Penguin Random House 2015

Abril Cultural 1981 | Presse Pocket 2002 | Selector S.A. De C.V. 2010 | Mirlo Ediciones 2017

Unknown | Wolfeyes 2015 | GoodBook Classics 2014 | Raúl Bracho 2015

There are a lot of covers for Brave New World, so I tried to include only the scary ones.

  1. There are some really good covers for this one and some of them scary indeed. Your least favourites I completely agree with. I love your favourite too – although that first cover gives me the shivers.

  2. wow I gotta read Brave New World! Look at those covers! Love all of them I’ll have to agree with you, though. That’s the best cover! Brit anything that has a steampunk vibe, I adore 🙂 I love the egg shells one too!

    1. Haha Brave New World is not a book I normally recommend to people. I didn’t hate it when I had to read it for High School, but I didn’t love it either. I don’t remember there being anything in the book that was steampunk, tho I read it before Steampunk really took off. And I liked the egg shells cover too!
