“Trick or Treat”
This weeks theme: A Halloween inspired cover
This was a weirdly hard theme for me. I LOVE Halloween but I also HATE scary things, and most Halloween books are scary. The few I have read are kids books and only have one cover. So, I picked a book that is super Halloween, but its one I haven’t read.
My Choice: Attack of the Jack-O’-Lanterns
Covers:
Scholastic 1998 | Scholastic 2005 | Bayard 2001
Omnibus Verlag 2002 | Mondadori 1998 | Ediciones B
Scholastic 1996 | Gramedia Pustaka Utama 1997 | Turtleback 1997
This is Goosebumps #48. I had no idea there were so many books in this series! I haven’t read any of them and I didn’t see the movie, because I am a wimp when it comes to scary stories. Also, randomly, 48 is my jersey number in softball, so thats cool!

Winner:
I know this doesn’t have the telltale Goosebumps font, but I love the blue, and the dog with the Jack-O’-Lantern is super cute and he doesn’t get lost on this cover!
Which is your favorite? Do you agree with my choice? Let me know in the comments!!
Oh what a fabulous cover for Halloween! I think your book is the most appropriate one I’ve seen so far:). And I also agree with your choice – I think the vivid blue background allows the orange pumkins to sing off the cover.

That is a good one too! 😀 I never read any of them haha so the only thing I really remember was the title font

Haha – this made me snort out loud. I even like your least liked covers. Your winner though is great – is it just me or do the characters on the cover look like they’re about to break out into a dance routine?

The Jack-O’-Lanterns sure scream Halloween so this is a great choice. I haven’t read any of the goosebumps neither but I like the first-row middle one. It is basically the same as the german blue background. I like it with the dog and the scary forest

The dog is my favorite part of the covers ❤ haha and that is a good one too!

Yes, great choice. I love the colours and the pumpkin people. I also disregarded the same two you did. At first I didn’t even realize they were pumpkins on the one. What a great Hallowe’en cover. My son read almost all the goosebumps books when he was young. I have a box of at least 30 in the crawl space waiting for my grandson to get old enough to read them.

Thanks 🙂 That is awesome that you saved those! I wish I had saved all my babysitter’s club books from when I was younger. I probably had at least 30 of them!

I think I have my daughter’s Baby Sitter’s Little Sister books. HIndsight is always 20/20.

Oh perfect choice! This totally brings me back I had no idea this had so many covers, I think I’m going to have to go with the original Scholastic for nostalgic reasons 🙂

Thanks 🙂 And I never read them so I didn’t have any nostalgic ties, but I have picked favorites before using nostalgic reasons 😀
